Operation Ride Home is open to active duty E-5 and below, both single and married, who might not otherwise financially be able to travel home. A Go-To Card is not required for taxi reimbursement. Pay for the ride andbe sure to get a receipt that displays the date, time, provider name and fare. Within 10 days of your ride, fill out an online reimbursement request. For paper receipts, print the request form and submit it by mail along with your receipt. If you received your receipt digitally, upload the file to the web form. Late submissions and submissions from unlicensed taxis will be declined.
This service has provided thousands of safe rides home since its inception and will continue to keep our communities safe far into the future. Commuters who travel to a job, post-high school education, or a day-long volunteer opportunity and take a bus, train, bike, and/or carpool at least three days a week are eligible for this program. If you are considering using alternative transportation, but are concerned that there may be times in which you need to use a car to get somewhere quickly for a personal emergency, the Guaranteed Ride Home program has you covered. The Ride Free Transit benefit will be available to the transit district the following day you are approved.
All exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis, considering factors such as past program use, tenure with the program, etc.

They’ve done it with a program they call simply Return to Owner, or RTO—other organizations use the charming name Free Ride Home—through which pets found in the field are returned home, usually without the owners paying any fees. This is a simple, effective way to help reunite lost pets and families, and keep pets from being in the shelter when they don’t have to be.
If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. The tag serves as a means of external identification. If a citizen calls Animal Services with the tag number, we can track down owner information and make an effort to contact him/her. This can also avoid a trip to the shelter for a lost pet and unnecessary fees to an owner. We can also identify the veterinary clinic that has issued the tag and contact the owner’s veterinarian which may help facilitate getting the animal back home.
You will be connected to a dispatch service that handles such calls from many employers. You will be asked how you arrived at work , the nature of your emergency, your employee ID/ORCA number, and your pickup and destination addresses. You can use the service up to eight times per calendar year. With restrictions about COVID-19 rapidly changing, please check with individual departments to be sure a building is open before you seek in-person service.
