They laid out the story, weaving in the building’s historical past and a present-day event (Hurricane Ida) to make it feel more real. Using their architectural backgrounds, they designed a layout that could tell a cohesive story, and a maze that can be reconfigured from year to year. “The architectural software allowed us to study and analyze the layout, rooms, and spaces to maximize scare-opportunities and to tell a good story from scene to scene,” Corcodilos tells us. The flood significantly damaged the mill’s interior and revealed a hidden chamber located below the basement level. Countless bodies were found and a dark truth was discovered about the mill’s past.

Going forward, Lincoln Mill is designed to grow from year to year by introducing new characters, sets and experiences. They’re also looking into offering off-season events like haunted attractions and escape rooms centered around Valentine’s Day, “Halfway to Halloween,” and Christmas. They’re also working on media like short films and a graphic novel to further delve into Lincoln Mill’s haunted backstory, so stay tuned for even more frights.
Lou Gramm Has Mixed Feelings About ‘I Want to Know What Love Is’
Lincoln Mill Haunted House will change into space mode for what operators are calling May the 4th Corrupt You, a new Star Wars-inspired haunted house. Giannetti encouraged folks to come to the haunted house to feel the sensation of fear, but in an environment that’s actually safe. On September 2, 2021, Hurricane Ida struck Philadelphia and flooded the mill to historic water levels.

Viktor Kane was haunted by his nightmares as he tossed and turned on Saint Patrick’s Eve. In his sleep, he was trapped in the green-lit chamber below his mill and was surrounded by his workers. They transformed into dark creatures and were seeking revenge. Somewhere along the line, he had a flashback to their old college days of operating Ravenkill Mansion and saw a new business opportunity. Bilsak had been running a haunted house at his residential home in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at the time and had been content with his home haunt operation.
The Manayunk attraction has previously done haunts themed on Christmas, Valentine's Day and the fall season.
Whether he is speaking in front of thousands of people, mentoring 1-on-1, or business coaching a small group, he captivates his audience with his energetic truth-telling stories. He runs a podcast on Apple Itunes called the New How Podcast, interviewing business owners around building businesses through the use of new technology. One of Kane's workers fell in love with him but as the legend goes, she held a deep resentment towards him due to his tortuous treatment. She carried out a plan to take him down by planting a trail of hearts inside the hidden basement chamber on Valentine's Day. It was at the end of the trail when Viktor found her that she kissed him, and then stabbed him in the heart. Legend has it, the haunted Lincoln Mill basement is where the 1930s mill owner Viktor Kane tortured and experimented on his workers.
Temple Beats Penn State For The First Time in 74 years

A long time ago, in a town not so far away, there was a textile mill where many workers were tortured. Among them, was a dark force that corrupted the minds of the living. During the exclusive outing, guests will venture through the hidden chamber that has been changed to ultraviolet light, giving the attraction a cosmic feel. The soundtrack has also been changed featuring cinematic Star Wars music but with a dark, horror twist.

The character make-up and costuming will also be unique for this event featuring sith-inspired make-up and black sith robes. There will also be several other nods to Star Wars throughout. The flood-inspired haunted house’s co-owners have been planning since early this year, and started constructing the set in June. There’s a ton of moving pieces, dozens of scare actors, and a whole crew of creatives making it happen — all doing it at this spot for the very first time. They successfully ran the haunted house entitled “Ravenkill Mansion” during the last weekend in October for the remainder of their time in college.

While the town was distracted by the holiday festivities, Viktor Kane knew this was the best time to lure his naughty workers down to the mill’s basement. "The Star Wars story and characters are so strong and has inspired me when writing the Lincoln Mill story," Lincoln Mill Haunted House co-founder Jared Bilsak said. "I always saw our main villain, Viktor Kane, as having many similarities to Darth Vader, one of the greatest villains of all time." It’s a perfect reason to plan a fun night out – eating, drinking, and getting scared. "Saint Patrick’s day has a long history in Philadelphia dating back to 1771 where many Irish immigrants migrated to America," said Lincoln Mill Haunted House co-founder Jared Bilsak. "Many Irish immigrants worked in the textile mills and we thought it would be interesting to tell a story about the mill owner’s fear of their uprising."

Each brother in the fraternity was an actor inside of the haunted house. They divided up the mansion into smaller rooms and introduced many special effects and characters throughout. The haunted house attracted hundreds of college students and members of the community and all proceeds were raised towards the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
But did you know that building was — dramatic pause — haunted?? Legend has it that the building formerly housed one of Manayunk’s many textile mills in the mid-1800s, then called Lincoln Mill. On February 14th, 1939, she left a trail of hearts inside the hidden chamber. At the end of the trail, she revealed herself; greeted Viktor with a kiss, and then stabbed him in the heart.
Local authorities determined that during the Great Depression in the 1930’s, Viktor Kane, the mill owner, began tormenting and experimenting on his workers. Countless workers lost their lives and their spirits continue to haunt the mill. The Halloween season is here and we've got your list of haunted houses in the Philadelphia area.
Viktor’s version of Christmas was more twisted than anyone could imagine. The Manayunk venue will host "May the 4th Corrupt You," a haunt inspired by the "Star Wars" series for May 4, which is recognized as "Star Wars" Day. Lincoln Mill Haunted House is a partnership between owners Brian Corcodilos, who owns the building, and Jared Bilsak who is the creative mastermind behind the design and storyline.
May the 4th Corrupt You is the sixth pop-up and off-season event for Lincoln Mill in Manayunk, which was always part of the plan when the building was repurposed after Hurricane Ida. Anthony Giannetti is a scare actor at the Lincoln Mill Haunted House in Manayunk. The Lincoln Mill opened in 1860 and was one of Manayunk’s numerous textile mills. In March 2021, the mill was purchased by a local developer, who began renovations on the building.
The venue also promises "several other nods to 'Star Wars' throughout." No word if anyone will be selling death sticks there, but New Ridge Brewing Co. will be selling drinks. The soundtrack has also been changed to featuring cinematic Star Wars music but with a dark, horror twist. The character makeup and costuming will also be unique for this event featuring sith-inspired makeup and black sith robes.
